Woolsey of Acton Cycle Repairs

We are well known for the quality and expertise of our repairs and servicing

We recommend you have your cycle serviced at least once a year to keep it in a good roadworthy condition, a regular rider who uses it all year round in all weathers may want to consider having it serviced every 6 months.

All our repairs and servicing are carried out by CYTECH/ NVQ qualified and trained mechanics.
our main servicing is completed the same day as its bought in. Please phone to check our workshop availability.

We carry out puncture repairs whilst you wait and where possible we carry out emergency repairs to keep you on the road.

Below is a list of our most common cycle services

Standard Service £35.

This is suitable for bikes that are in generally good condition and also for a bike that needs building out of a box, or a Pre Delivery inspection. We will go through the bike, adjusting and lubricating the brakes and gears, inflating the tyres to correct pressure, and making sure everything is tightened to the correct torque, to ensure the bike is safe to ride.

Full Service, £45.

This is our most popular service, recommended to be carried out at least once a year, more for a bike of high mileage.

We go through out the whole bicycle, checking, lubricating of all working parts of the bicycle and making any adjustments necessary. This will include replacement of Brake Blocks and control cables as necessary and any transmission parts i.e. Rear cassette and chain. If the bike does require any major part changes or any extra work, i.e. Bottom bracket or headset we will talk to the customer first with an estimate of the overall cost of the repair.

Full Overhaul from £75.

The bike is completely stripped down to the frame cleaned and parts replaced as required, the hubs stripped down cleaned and re-greased. We would need to see the bike beforehand and give a complete estimate of the work involved.

Please note that the prices quoted above doesn't include the price of any parts.

We can also carry out lots of other repairs to almost any cycle, from an old 1950's roadster to the most up to date modern road bike. This can be from a simple gear adjustment to bleeding hydraulic disc brakes.

When you bring your bike in to the shop, one of our mechanics will have a look at the bike, to point out anything wrong with it and to make any recommendations of required work. Also at this stage we will be able to give more of an idea of overall cost of the repair/ service.
